(Nov. 21, 2020) Based on a complaint from General Manager John Viola the Ocean Pines Association Board, after voting 4-3 against removing Director Tom Janasek, instead voted unanimously for censure during a special meeting on Friday.

Directors Colette Horn, Frank Brown and Larry Perrone represented the minority who supported removing Janasek from his current term.

The public hearing on Friday was preceded by a roughly four hour closed session discussion during the board meeting on Wednesday.

At the end of the nearly 40-minute affair Janasek apologized to Viola and the pair stood up and shared an amicable greeting in the center of the Assateague Room at the Ocean Pines Community Center.
