(Dec. 8, 2016) Worcester County Public Works will implement plans to replace the Five Mile Branch Road Bridge, a three-span, timber-beam bridge located approximately 0.76 miles north of U.S. Route 113 and crossing Coonfoot Branch, beginning Monday, Dec. 5.
Access to this bridge will be closed and a detour will be in place throughout the course of the project. Detours are as follows: Intersection of Five Mile Branch Road & Maryland Route 113 north to Newark Road is approximately 2.4 miles and three minutes; Newark Road to Queponco Road is approximately 0.3 miles and 38 seconds; and Queponco Road to its intersection with Five Mile Branch Road is approximately 2.7 miles and 3 minutes 39 seconds.
