(Aug. 6, 2026) The Ocean Pines Association will have its annual meeting on Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Ocean Pines Community Center, where members will receive updates on association business, recognize a community volunteer, and formally certify the results of the 2026 board of directors election.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. in the Assateague Room at the Ocean Pines Community Center, located in White Horse Park. Association officials encourage members planning to attend in person to arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow time for the verification process. Attendees will be required to present a valid photo identification before entering the meeting.
Members who are unable to attend in person will have the option to watch the meeting virtually via Microsoft Teams. A link can be found on the OPA website. However, only those attending in person will be permitted to participate in the public comment portion of the meeting.
The agenda includes the call to order, appointments, presentation of the Sam Wilkinson Volunteer Award, ascertainment of a quorum, approval of the meeting agenda, and approval of the minutes from the 2025 annual meeting.
Association officials will also present reports, address any unfinished business, and consider new business. Additionally, the OPA Elections Committee will validate the results of this year’s board of directors election.
Saturday’s annual meeting marks the conclusion of this summer’s board election process, during which the Elections Committee will confirm the winners of the ballot casting cycle to the community’s governing body. Homeowners will also have an opportunity to address the board with any concerns they have during the gathering’s public comment period.
The association is encouraging members to participate in the meeting, either in person or virtually, to stay informed on association business and the outcome of this year’s election.
