OCEAN PINES — Isabella G. D. Callahan, age 75, died Tuesday, July 5 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin. Born in Scotland on March 25, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Andrew Copland and Agnes Davidson Copland. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jerome Edward Callahan.

Formerly of Brentwood, Callahan had worked as a Teaching Assistant. She was a past Town Councilwoman from 1987-1995 and Mayor from 1995 – 1997 for the Town of Brentwood.  Mrs. Callahan had been a resident of Ocean Pines since 2003. 

Along with her husband she is survived by her children, Winifred Lumsden, Michael A. Callahan, Robert J. Callahan, Kathleen A. Hasenpusch and Theresa Callahan; there are eight grandchildren.  

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Saturday, July 9 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Interment followed in Gardens of the Pines. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to  the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, www.nleomf.com/contribute/. Arrangements are being handled by the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.
