‘The Voice’ singer headlines Habitat for Humanity gala

(Oct. 22, 2015) Tickets are still available until noon on Friday for Habitat for Humanity of Worcester County’s 20th anniversary celebration.
The event, dubbed the Masquerade at St. Martin’s Gala will be held Oct. 23 from 7-11 p.m. at the historic church near Ocean Pines at the junction of Routes 113 and 589.
Headlining the entertainment this year will be singer Nadjah Nicole, a contestant on the NBC television show “The Voice.”
“Everyone who attended last year’s gala was blown away by her talent, so we’re so excited that Nadjah Nicole will perform again this year,” said Andrea Bowland, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Worcester County.
“It’s even more exciting this year because she is a contestant on the current season of The Voice, competing with other talented singers from across the country. We know that she and her band will give another electrifying performance Friday night. “
The gala also includes an open bar, as well as food from Jules Restaurant, CULTURE authentic eatery, the Greenhouse Deli, Hooters, Rice House Bistro, Bad Monkey OC and Liquid Assets, from Ocean City, as well as Blacksmith, Si’culi Rustic Italian Kitchen and Baked Dessert Café from Berlin.
Guests are encouraged to bring masks during the “masquerade” fundraiser benefiting the local nonprofit. Black tie dress is optional.
Since its incorporation in 1995, Habitat for Humanity of Worcester County has worked with 19 families on permanent home projects, including builds from the ground up and substantial home rehabilitations. The affiliate had a 20th anniversary goal of assisting 20 families in 20 years on major home projects, and, according to a recent press release, that goal has been reached.
Tickets, available at www.habitatworcester.org, are $115 person.
