‘Love on Tap’ returns to OC; beer tastings in Berlin, Sat.

(Jan. 26, 2017) For the second year, the state, Shore Craft Beer and the Brewers Association of Maryland, are promoting Maryland Craft Beer.
In celebration, Gov. Larry Hogan will once again designate the second month of the year as “FeBREWary,” Craft Beer Lovers Month.
Shore Craft Beer will kick off FeBREWary’s Love on Tap celebration with an early announcement at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28 at The Globe in Berlin. This press event is open to the public and will feature beer tastings and brief comments by brewers, hoteliers, travel professionals and Sen. Jim Mathias.
Shore Craft Beer is spearheading the effort on the Eastern Shore by bringing together craft breweries, restaurants, bars and hotels to celebrate Love on Tap throughout the month. Look for Love on Tap happy hour specials, love stories, specially brewed beer, promotions, prizes, events and exclusives that emphasize how craft beer brings people together.
The culmination of the month-long celebration will be the Shore Craft Beer Fest: Love on Tap event, noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Seacrets, 49th Street.
This Shore Craft Beer Fest also highlights Ocean City as an offseason “Beercation” destination with local hotels offering packages to beer travelers. Last year’s event brought hundreds of out-of-state visitors to the shore on a winter weekend and many have already purchased tickets to the upcoming event.
