OCEAN CITY — Anne McCormack, 69, died June 14. She was born in Baltimore. After high school, McCormack went into a convent and became a nun. She then achieved her nursing degree and worked with several hospitals in the Baltimore area.
McCormack moved to Ocean City in 1968 and helped run her family motel, McCormack’s Burgundy Inn. She decided to return to nursing in 1984 and worked with the Berlin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center until 2004 when she retired.
She is survived by her son, Chris McCormack, and his wife, Denise; daughter Bridget McCormack; brother Larry Curtis and his family; sister Jeanne Dixon and her family; and several nieces, nephews.
McCormack had a kind, loving heart and wonderful spirit. She will be missed by anyone who was fortunate enough to have known her.
A memorial gathering was held at the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin Tuesday, June 21.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Worcester County Humane Society, 48 Poplar Trail, Berlin , MD 21811. Arrangements are in the care of the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.
