BERLIN — Barbara Ann Bowers, age 72, died Tuesday, Aug. 9 at Atlantic General Hospital. Born in McKeesport, PA. she was the daughter of the late Harry Griffith and Virginia Harrison Griffith.  

Bowers is survived by her son, Eric Bowers and his wife Anna Maria of Berlin; two daughters, Melanie Botello of Germantown, and Virginia Elder and her husband Richard of Columbia; a brother, James Griffiths of N.C.; two grandchildren, Stephen and Max Elder of Columbia, two nephews and a niece. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Lee Bowers.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, Aug. 16 at the Burbage Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Worcester County Humane Society, PO Box 48, Berlin, MD 21811.
