SELBYVILLE, DEL.—Beatrice F. Hoffman, 83, of
Selbyville and formerly of Baltimore, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013 at Delaware
Hospice Center in Milford, Del. She was born in New Kensington, Pa. and was the
daughter of the late Peter and Gertrude (Schafer) Antoine.
Mrs. Hoffman had been a switchboard operator for Sears
in Baltimore for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in
Ocean City, where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Red
Chicks and the Fifth Wheels.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen A. Bromwell of
Selbyville and Diane M. Tuscano and her husband Steve of Baltimore; a niece,
Patricia Gray of Ocean City; three grandchildren, Thomas Bromwell Jr., Eric
Bromwell and Mark Tuscano; and a great granddaughter, Vivienne Bromwell.
She was preceded in death by her husband John G.
Hoffman in 2001.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday,
Sept. 4 at St. Luke Catholic Church in Ocean City. Father Richard Smith
officiated and burial followed at Sunset Memorial Park in Berlin.
