Tigers’ 11-year-old Pitcher, Ryan McLaughlin tossed 13 strikeouts in six innings of shutout ball, and allowed only two hits on 74 pitches. This was his first start and first complete game in the majors. McLaughlin’s strong pitching was backed up by two hits from Aydin Rodgers and a solo Homerun by Even Truitt, which helped the Tigers explode for 11 runs during the last three innings.
In the loss, Orioles’ Eric Berry pitched superbly as well, striking out eight batters in three shutout innings of work.

Blue Jays 9
The Royals defeated the Blue Jays on Tuesday evening 10-9, scoring 10 runs on seven hits. The winning team put up five runs in the 5th inning, taking advantage of five walks by Blue Jay pitchers. The Jays rallied in the top of the 6th to score four runs, but fell just short.
Five Blue Jay batters had multiple hits in the game, including Andrew Schuler (single, triple), Ashten Snelsire (single, homerun), Emmanuel Aroh, Sam Woodley and Brett Truitt. Calvin Lorance and Zach Powers lead the Royals team with two hits each.

In what seems to be the case when these two teams play, the game was decided very late with a victory being pulled out in the bottom of 5th inning. Abby Wesche held the Razorback offense in check most of the night, striking out 14 while only allowing four walks in six strong innings
All tied up at 4 -4 going into the bottom of the 5th inning, the Hurricanes offense woke up with six runs. The Razorback fought back with two runs in the top of the 6th, but came up short with bases loaded when the last out was made. The offense was led by Jessica Beck (two hits and three RBIs) and Kylie Boston (two hits and two RBIs). Other contributing members of the Hurricanes included Amaya Dischinger, Zoe Rayne and Gianna Cauble, who each drove in runs.

Mudcats 8
The Berlin Mudcats lost a tight game to the West Salisbury Intermediate baseball club, 9-8 on Monday evening. Leading the way for the Mudcats was TJ Bescak with a triple and three RBIs. Hunter Wolf added a double, a triple and two RBIs.

On Monday, April 25, the Berlin Lugnuts lost their game to the Fruitland Impact Church by a score of 12-1. Nate Bradford scored the only run for Berlin on an RBI single by Gavin Shaffer.
Lugnuts 2
Willards 1
On Wednesday, April 27, the Berlin Lugnuts squeaked by Willards by a score of 2-1. Evan Kinsey pitched a complete game with 10 strikeouts. Nick Vinogradov scored the Lugnuts’ first run on an RBI by Eric Cropper. Zack Tronosky scored the go-ahead run in the 4th inning on an RBI by Vinogradov. The Lugnuts stranded nine runners on base.
