(March 26, 2015) Downtown Berlin will again be the coolest place to be on Saturday, April 18 from 1- 6 p.m., when the town will celebrate the first anniversary of being voted the 2014 winner of America’s Coolest Small Town.
The festivities will begin at 1 p.m. with a parade down Main Street featuring Berlin youth from various organizations and will include food, giveaways, music and activities for the children including Eastern Shore Karate and Cascading Carlos. “The Kelly Bell Band” will perform at 3 p.m.
Ocean Downs will provide a shuttle that will run from Berlin Intermediate School to the downtown area for those who need to utilize the temporary satellite parking.
In downtown Berlin, non-glass containers will be permitted from 1-6 p.m. in clearly designated areas. The Berlin Chamber of Commerce will have a beer garden set up on Commerce Street featuring beers from Burley Oak Brewery. No beverages of any kind may be brought into the celebration area.
The town is inviting everyone to come and join in on the celebration.
