Berlin to present Fall Cruiser event Saturday

BERLIN—More than 200 car
enthusiasts are expected at Berlin’s Fall Cruiser event on Oct. 12, which is
being held in conjunction with Ocean City’s 16th annual Endless Summer Cruisin’
event.

Pre-registered cars can start parking along Main
Street as early as 7 a.m., according to the Berlin Chamber of Commerce’s
Facebook page. On-site registration will open at 8 a.m. and all cars will be parked by 10 a.m. The fee for registration cost $10.

Event Chair Tanja Giles said
the award categories would include hot
rod, classic, truck, and pony. Best in Show, Best in Category, and Peoples’
Choice trophies will be awarded at 2 p.m., she said. The trophy presentation
will be held at Commerce and Pitts Streets, according to Giles.

The Best in Show winner will also
be announced at the OC Endless Summer Cruisin’ event, she added.

The vehicles will be on display
in the public parking lots that flank North Main Street, near Tex-Mex &
Beyond and Worcester Youth and Family Counseling Services and along the
downtown corridor. The cars can be viewed from 10 a.m.
until 2 p.m.

Giles said several downtown restaurants
will be open with breakfast hours for the convenience of car show participants.
They will include Baked Desserts Café and Gallery, Berlin Coffee House, and The
Globe, which will all open at 8 a.m. Raynes Reef will open at 7 a.m. for
breakfast, she said.

There will be a 50/50 raffle held
during the event, Giles said.
