(June 4, 2015) Two weeks after Berlin held its public works showcase, Touch a Truck Day, Ocean Pines will host its own oversized vehicle fest, dubbed “Big Truck Day.”
The fourth annual event returns on Saturday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park in Ocean Pines.
Recent Big Truck Days have drawn more than 1,000 people to see and interact with more than 60 pieces of equipment, including fire trucks, dump trucks and tractors.
Unlike Berlin’s event, Ocean Pines includes private businesses in its showcase. Last year Cropper’s Towing, Choptank Electric Services and Royal Plus all took part in Big Truck Day.
Vendors offer food and beverages, and nonprofits and civic organizations add additional entertainment, including deejay music.
Guests are also allowed to bring outside food.
