Promotions
Atlantic/Smith, Cropper & Deeley (ASC&D) announces several promotions
Kim Schmidt has been promoted to the role of Life and Health team leader. Schmidt has been influential in streamlining processes within her department and has successfully trained many in the Life and Health team. She has worked in the insurance industry since 2000. She enjoys spending time with her sons and going to the beach with family.
In addition, there are two recent promotions within the Executive Leadership Team.
Cindy Hall has been promoted to vice president of sales. She has 24 years of experience in sales management in the commercial and hospitality industry. Hall focuses her time assisting the sales and support teams and to help simplify the insurance purchasing experience and develop stronger agency/client relationships.
Hall and her husband reside in Worcester County where she remains active volunteering and serving on a variety of committees including, Junior Achievement of Worcester County, Eastern Women’s Golf Association and the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce. Her three boys grew up in Worcester County and she remained very active in the Worcester County School Systems while the boys attended school.   
Beth Bell has been promoted to the position of vice president of operations, in addition to her current role as CFO. She holds a significant role in supporting the strategic direction of ASC&D agency as the executive leader for HR, IT and Accounting.
She also directly supports the Personal Lines division of the agency. Bell is a senior certified professional with the Society for Human Resource Management. She is active in the local community, serving on the Worcester County board of Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore. She is a native of Ocean City and currently resides in Bishopville with her husband and four children.

Bank award
Taylor Bank was recently recognized by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as a recipient of the Silver Level Healthiest Maryland Businesses Wellness at Work Award. The Healthiest Maryland Businesses Wellness at Work Awards recognizes employers for their exemplary accomplishments in worksite health promotion. Applications were reviewed and scored by the staff of Healthiest Maryland Businesses, Maryland’s Worksite Wellness Program.
Taylor Bank launched its Fiscally Fit program in 2011 with a simple walking campaign that has now evolved into a holistic and strategized wellness program.
New position
Atlantic/Smith, Cropper & Deeley (ASC&D) announces that Kerry Runkles has been promoted to the role of personal lines manager.
Runkles has been instrumental in reviewing and updating procedures to make the insurance purchasing experience more streamline for clients. She has several years of experience in personal insurance in both servicing and new business roles.
She enjoys traveling, visiting new places and spending time with her husband and two boys.

Macuha joins AGH
Atlantic General Hospital and Health System announced that Faustino Macuha Jr., M.D., is joining the medical staff to provide care for patients with diabetes, thyroid, adrenal and other hormone and metabolic disorders.
Macuha is past medical director of the Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology at the University of Maryland Shore Regional Health at Easton. He is dual-certified in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism as well as internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Macuha completed his fellowship in endocrinology at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, New York and his residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.
Prior to his position at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health at Easton, he was a hospitalist at Straub Clinic and Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. He completed his medical degree at University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, and an internal medicine residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, New York.
Macuha began seeing patients at the Atlantic General Primary Care and Endocrinology office in Ocean Pines on July 17. Appointments can be made by calling 410-208-9761.
Promotions

Miesha Foreman has been promoted to a client relations agent working within the Transportation Practice. Foreman is a licensed agent in Property & Casualty Insurance.
She enjoys singing at her church and in her band, and spending time with her family.
Lindsey Ward has been promoted to the role of client relations agent in the Community Association Practice. Ward is a licensed agent in Property & Casualty Insurance and has a Bachelor’s Degree from Salisbury University. She loves cooking, the Beatles and video games.
Debbie Long has been promoted to private client specialist. Long is working closely with client advisors to bridge between Commercial and Personal lines accounts. Long has worked in the insurance industry for over 40 years.
She enjoys camping, cookouts and spending time with her family at the beach.
