BERLIN — Doris Jean Beringer, age 70, died Friday, Aug. 19 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin. Born in West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Clarence Austin and Wilma Mayle Austin. She retired to the Eastern Shore after a 30 year career at Texas Instruments. 

She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Ann Moore; adopted daughter, Mandy Moore; three brothers, Clarence William Austin, Jr., David Austin and his wife Lisa, and Richard Austin and his wife Karen; two sisters, Ruth Ann Austin and Barbara Blackburn; six grandchildren, Kristin McColgan, Michelle Rissman, Michael Turner, Cody Turner and Shelby Moore and Marie Turner; three great grandchildren, Domnick, Camden and Liam; and nieces, nephews and a host of friends.  She was preceded in death by her former husband, Robert Brian Moore and a daughter, Christine Yvette Turner. 

A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 at Stevenson United Methodist Church in Berlin. Arrangements are being handled by the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.
