Edward “Eddie” C. Johnson Jr, 70, passed away Monday, May 17, 2021, in Atlantic General Hospital after a long illness.

Born at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury, Edward was the eldest of three children born to Mae P. Johnson and Edward C. Johnson Sr., who are both deceased.

The family lived in Snow Hill until the late 1960’s when they moved to Berlin.

He graduated from Stephen Decatur High School in 1969. In 1971, he married Teresa “Terry” Quillen.

In 1978, he and Terry moved back to Snow Hill with their daughter, Amy Holloway, who was his pride and joy.

Eddie enjoyed hunting and racing and was an accomplished artist. He retired from the State of Maryland Department of Agriculture, after serving over 30 years.

In addition to his wife, Eddie leaves behind his siblings, Melody Johnson of Ocean City and Patrick Johnson (Carolyn), and their daughter, Genevieve.

In addition to his siblings, he is survived by his daughter, Amy Holloway (Andy) of West Ocean City, and their children, Gracie and Benjamin. His grandchildren held a very special place in his heart.

His current dog, Sadie, was his best friend.

There will be no service at Eddie’s request.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriners Hospitals for Children, the Humane Society of Wicomico County or Spence Baptist Church in Snow Hill.
