BERLIN — Elizabeth Purnell White, 68, died June 15 at the James B. Barrett Medical Center. She was born in Berlin to the late Robert Wallace White Sr. and Sarah Purnell White. Elizabeth was a resident of the Worcester County Development Center and later lived with her caregiver family.

 She is survived by her brother, Ken White, his wife, Freda, and their son, Shawn; her long term caregivers James and Ozella Williams and their family; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A graveside service was held Saturday, June 18 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Churchyard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Worcester County Developmental Center, P.O. Box 70, Newark, MD 21841. Arrangements are in the care of the Burbage Funeral Home.
