OCEAN PINES–Worcester County Public Works officials advise the public to expect traffic delays on King Richard Road in Ocean Pines now through late November, as construction crews make the following repairs:
Replacing water service lines over the next three weeks, to eliminate leaks that have caused excessive maintenance in other areas of the Ocean Pines system.
Installing a 6-inch diameter sewage force main to connect the Casino at Ocean Downs to the Ocean Pines Wastewater System. It is the intention of the contractor to maintain one active lane of traffic during the construction on King Richard Road. Complete road closures will be avoided during construction unless absolutely necessary. Reconstructing and repaving King Richard Road.
Public Works officials hope to limit disruptions to the public by performing these activities concurrently. Anyone with specific concerns may contact Public Works Deputy Director John Ross or Construction Technician Mike McCabe at the Department of Public Works Water and Wastewater Division at (410)-641-5251.
