(Oct. 22 2026) Families in Ocean Pines can celebrate Halloween this month with several community events featuring costumes, crafts, games, and trick-or-treating.
Ocean Pines will host its annual Spooky Swim on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 5-8 p.m. at the Sports Core Pool.
The event will feature Halloween crafts, games, music, and food available for purchase. Children are encouraged to wear their favorite Halloween costumes for a chance to win a free daily pool pass.
Spooky Swim is open to children ages 12 and younger. Children ages six and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in the pool. Kids who require flotation devices must remain close to their guardian while in the water.
Admission is $8 for swim members, $10 for Ocean Pines residents, and $12 for nonresidents. Those who do not plan to swim can attend for $3. No advance registration is required, and admission can be paid at the door.
For more information, call Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks at 410-641-5255.
Earlier that day, the department will offer a Halloween Kids Craft Time from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Ocean Pines Community Center, 235 Ocean Parkway.
Participants can choose between creating a lantern jar or a spooky painting. The activity is open to all ages and offers families an opportunity to get creative ahead of Halloween.
The cost is $10 for residents and $12 for nonresidents. For more information, call 410-641-7052.
The Halloween festivities will continue Thursday, Oct. 29, when the Worcester County Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual Community Trunk-N-Treat at Taylor Bank on Cathell Road.
The free event will offer families a safe, community-oriented alternative for Halloween trick-or-treating. Children can visit creatively decorated vehicle trunks to collect candy while enjoying the festive atmosphere.
Families are invited to wear costumes and participate in the evening’s activities, which also provide an opportunity for residents to connect with neighbors and local businesses.
The event is sponsored by Taylor Bank and is free and open to the public.
Current chamber partners and members interested in participating, as well as families seeking additional information, can contact the Worcester County Chamber of Commerce at 410-641-5306 or info@WorcesterCountyChamber.org.
