yogurt and cheese making, and more. Classes will take place on six consecutive
Saturdays starting Nov. 2 from 2-4 p.m. Classes will be taught by Monika and
Lisa Lilley of Upper Room Studio. This mother and daughter team opened the
studio in 2009 and also started the local Weston A. Price Foundation chapter.
Lisa Lilley, holds a B.S. in nursing from Salisbury State University and has
been studying health and nutrition for decades. Monika Lilley has been involved
in health, birth, and fiber arts for over half of her life. Each class costs
$35. Receive a discount for signing up for multiple classes. Classes are
limited to 10 participants. For more information, call Go Organic at

The fermentation class will
include lacto-fermented demonstrations and recipes for fermented mayonnaise,
baked oatmeal, ketchup and kombucha. There will be comparison of simple
fermentation versus lacto-fermentation. Participants will learn to produce
their own whey without making cheese. Discover how easy, nutritious, and
inexpensive this process is of increasing healthy probiotics in your diet.

The grinding grain and
baking bread class will teach participants the health benefits of using fresh
ground, spelt, teff, quinoa, and more. The class will cover manual vs. electric
grinders and provide recipes and samples of freshly ground and baked
products.

Learn the ancient art of
soap making with two complete demonstrations of hot and cold processed soaps.
Participants will receive recipes and instructions for using soap nuts, making
hard bar soaps, laundry detergent. Additives such as clay, seeds, herbs, and
essential oils to bar soaps will be covered. Instructions will be given to make
home made lye. Making soap is easy, cost-effective, and healthful.

Yogurt and cheese making
have never been easier. Recipes, instructions, and demonstrations will be given
on making mozzarella, ricotta, yogurt, and kefir. Recipes and ideas for whey
will be given which also increase probiotics in the diet. This is an excellent
class to take along with fermented foods classes as they are hard concepts to
separate.

Participants will learn the art
of wet felting flowers with colored wool and the newer process of needle
felting flowers with colored wool. These art projects combine stress relief
with creating beautiful works of wearable art as these flowers can be used as
hair clips, headbands, and pins.

Come and learn how easy and
inexpensive it is to make your own tinctures, infused oils, and salves.
Participants will learn hands on how to combine and create their own healing
first aid kit. Demonstrations and recipes will be given for herbal healing
powders, infused oils, salves, and tinctures. Basic herb actions will be
covered.
