SALISBURY – Helen Elizabeth Davis, age 88, died Friday, March 25, 2011 at her home in Salisbury. Born in Snow Hill she was the daughter of the late Harry Daisey and Amanda Pruitt Daisey. She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil F. Davis Sr. in 1987.
Mrs. Davis had been a devoted mother, grandparent and homemaker. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle in Salisbury.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn Taylor and her husband Paul of Bishopville, Ronnie Davis of Berlin, Virgil Davis Jr. And his wife Marguerite of Gumboro, Bonnie Murray and her husband Richard of Salisbury, Joan Doyle and her husband Pete of Oviedo, Fla., Arthur Davis and his wife Joann of Salisbury, Grace Carey and her husband Robert of Laurel, Del., and Linda Parsons and her husband Frank of Cleveland, Tenn.; 21 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; sisters, Lois McDaniel and Frances Twilley and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Elsie Davis, George Daisey, Edgar Daisey, Lawrence Daisey, Linwood Daisey, Stella Daisey, Thelma Gravenor, Mildred Davis and Horace Daisey.
A funeral service was held on Monday at the Calvary Baptist Tabernacle on Tilghman Rd. in Salisbury. Interment was in Willards Cemetery in Willards.
