Jean Gray Brittingham, age 95, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016 at her home.
Born in Newark, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Neal and Elva Brittingham.
She is survived by her nephews, Jim Sturgis, Samuel Sturgis and Bill Scott, and her beloved friend, Catharine “Kitty” McKee, of Ocean View, Delaware.
She was preceded in death by her bother, Rudolph “Rudy” Brittingham.
Ms. Brittingham was a 1938 graduate of Snow Hill High School and a graduate of the University of Delaware, Class of 1942. She had been a Home Economics teacher for 31 years at John M. Clayton High School in Dagsboro, Delaware.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016 at Bowen Cemetery in Newark, Maryland. Rev. Casey Lee officiated.
