It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Larry Thomas Shockley, of Whaleyville, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and community member, who departed from this life on August 22, 2026, at the age of 62.

Larry was born in Salisbury on May 28, 1964 to Marylan (Jones) Shockley and the late Sylvester C. Shockley.

Larry was the general manager at Old Pro Golf in Ocean City. A devoted member of Stevenson United Methodist Church where he served faithfully as Treasurer and was actively involved with the Spirit Kitchen, dedicating countless hours to support those in need. He was also a Past Master and past Secretary of Evergreen Masonic Lodge #153, in Berlin, MD showcasing his commitment to community service and brotherhood. In his personal life, Larry was an avid Lego collector, finding joy in creativity and playfulness, which he cherished throughout his life.

In addition to his mother, Marylan Shockley, Larry is survived by his loving wife, Charlene D. Shockley; son, Matthew T. Shockley of Whaleyville; brothers, Jeffrey C. Shockley (Christine) of Delmar, and Michael L. Shockley (Tina Morgan) of Whaleyville; special friends, Glenn Bunting and Scott Schoellkopf; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Stevenson United Methodist Church, 123 N. Main Street, Berlin, MD with visitation beginning at 10 a.m.
