OCEAN PINES–The Ocean Pines Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and staff have announced the 2014 award recipients that will be recognized during the 15th annual awards and installation banquet on Oct. 9 at the Ocean City Marlin Club.
The 2014 Ocean Pines Citizen of the Year is Terri Mahoney of WMDT ABC/47, the Ocean Pines Business of the Year is Taylor Bank and the Ocean Pines Non-Profit Organization of the Year, sponsored by the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, is the Kiwanis Club of Greater Ocean Pines–Ocean City.
Join in the celebration as these local award winners are honored for their accomplishments and contributions to the local community during the “black tie optional” annual banquet. This years’ theme is “The Captain’s Dinner” capturing the ambiance of the semi-formal dinner night on a cruise ship. Guests will enjoy a buffet dinner of prime rib, carved turkey breast, ahi tuna, various side dishes, homemade desserts and passed hors d’ oeuvres during cocktail hour.
The awards ceremony will be held in conjunction with the installation of the 2014/2015 Board Members and officers: Incoming President: Anna Giles of Merrill Lynch, Outgoing President: Gwen Cordner with Acquest Title Services, Vice President: Amy Unger of Atlantic General Hospital, Treasurer: Larry Leese of Larry Leese & Associates, PA, Secretary: Will Cathell of Williams, Moore, Shockley & Harrison, LLP. and Board Directors: Ted Demetriou of Demetriou Insurance, Lee Ann Gunning of Wor-Wic Community College, Celeste Dove of Farmer’s Bank of Willards and Heather Shaner of M&T Bank, Ocean Pines.
