(Sept. 1, 2022) The Worcester County Bureau of Investigation is still on the lookout for a man wanted for breaking into a home in Berlin on Aug. 21 and brandishing a weapon before fleeing on foot.
Detectives have not released a description of the man, who at 11 p.m. that night forced his way into the home through a window.
When the man got into the home, residents inside were alerted and got into a scuffle with him. According to a statement from police, the man brandished a weapon while inside the home – though a description of that weapon was not provided – before taking off on foot.
By the time officers from the Berlin Police Department arrived on the scene, the suspect was long gone. The case has since been handed over to the county Bureau of Investigation.
Additional agencies including the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division, State Police Crime Scene Unit, and Pocomoke City Police Department K9 Division responded to the scene.
