Snow Hill Library presents workshops on conservation

(March 10, 2016) The first workshop in a series to educate community members on conservation efforts will be held on Saturday, March 12 at the Snow Hill Library from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The clinic will feature discussions on forestry and land conservation with guest speakers Tony DiPaolo, a licensed professional forester, and Lyle Almond, from the Maryland Extension Service. During the clinic, the group will visit the Paul Jones Lumber Yard and, weather permitting, the EA Vaughn Wildlife Management Area.
Pre-registration is required for the event and can be done by calling the Lower Shore Land Trust Office at 410-641-4467. Registration is free and will close on Thursday, March 10. Light refreshments will be provided.
There will be three other workshops held, covering Habitat Restoration, Best Management Practices and Land Protection on Saturday April 2; Restoring the Pocomoke River Watershed on April 8, and Landscaping for Pollinators and Monarch Butterflies; date to be determined.
