Snow Hill Rotary Club set to honor educators, April 21

(April 6, 2017) Community members, educators and retired teachers are encouraged to join the Snow Hill Rotary Club in recognizing the five educators that have been selected as “Teacher of the Year” within the Snow Hill community: Julie Hickman of Snow Hill Elementary, Barbara Kohut of Snow Hill Middle, Master Sergeant William Meekins of Snow Hill High, Julia Hill of Worcester Technical High School and Karen Holland of Cedar Chapel School.  
The dinner will be held on Friday, April 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the Snow Hill Lions Club. This event provides an opportunity for community members to meet and thank these exceptional professionals who serve the community.
“The Rotary appreciates the extra efforts of these educators to provide a quality education to our youth and would like to thank them publicly,” said Club President Ann Gibb.
Rotary Club members will also be raising funds during this event to continue their scholarship program which annually awards $5,000 in scholarships to Snow Hill High School graduates. Sponsorships are being sought from local businesses and community members.
