OCEAN CITY – The Maryland state record blue marlin of 1,062 pounds, reeled in during the 2009 White Marlin Open by Bob Farris of Charlotte, N.C., will be unveiled as a permanent display at Ocean City’s Roland E. Powell Convention Center, 40th Street and Coastal Highway.

On Friday, Feb. 18, Farris will be joined by Ocean City Mayor Rick Meehan, convention center director Rick Hamilton, Mark Becker, owner of the boat No Problem, which Farris was on when the fish was caught, and Jim Motsko, White Marlin Open organizer.
