OCEAN PINES – Chef Paul Suplee of Ocean Pines was the recipient of a prestigious “president’s medallion” from The American Culinary Federation. Suplee received the award during the federation’s 2011 Northeast Regional Conference held at the Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel in Columbus, Ohio from March 20-23.

“Our final recipient is a chef instructor, food writer and photographer and is a driving force in his chapter. Whenever his chapter needs someone to do a demonstration, organize an event or a lend-a-hand, he is there,” said ACF National President Michael Ty, CEC, AAC, during the presentation.

“He is a motivator, mentor and friend. He has developed and is continuing to expand a top-notch secondary culinary program, and his goal is to earn his ACF Master Chef Certification.
