Organizers seeking vendors and volunteers for event

(Feb. 15, 2018) Save the date for the Worcester County CARE (Community Access to Resources Expo), to be held on April 14 in Berlin.

The collaborative partnership with SHORE UP! INC. and local utilities Choptank Electric Cooperative and Delmarva Power will offer information about job training, food assistance and other services.

Berlin Town Administrator Laura Allen said the event, which is being held in Berlin for the first time, would take place in the multipurpose building on Flower Street, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The first 150 families to attend will receive a free bag of groceries.

Allen said organizers are looking for additional volunteers and vendors for the event.

There is no fee for nonprofits to attend and Allen said organizers were developing a fee schedule regarding for-profit groups.
