South Gate bridge full of charm

My wife and I retired to Ocean Pines 10 years ago. We made 6 trips up from Georgia and looked at dozens of houses in Maryland and Delaware.

The bridge and gatehouse told us we were entering a different kind of community. Even the directions to get here included, “turn at the wooden bridge.”

I cannot visualize a 3 or 4 lane chunk of concrete and iron in the bridge’s place.

I feel we are part of a community that respects the past and provides up to date amenities to serve residents of all ages and interests.

While I would have preferred to keep the guardhouse and globe lamps, the landscaping has been great and the seasonal decorations are much welcomed.

When we are going to Route 50, we sometimes head south and turn at the Library.
