Failed lighting arrestor culprit in Choptank outages

(March 12, 2015) Choptank Electric Cooperative experienced widespread outages in Wicomico and Worcester counties last Saturday beginning approximately at 4:30 p.m. During the height of the outages, Choptank Electric had approximately 11,500 members without power.
